She enjoys dancing and painting even despite the recent heartbreak of having to watch her grandmother battle cancer. She is daily learning to trust in God.

From Linden Tree’s 2012 AWAKEN Collection line, we introduce: Nachalye.

This lovely deep navy blue distressed wood buffet is topped with a shiny beige marble top and clear glass knobs. Such a delicate combination. Great for use in a dining room or even as an entry or foyer piece. The drawers and hidden side trays are lined with a beautiful yellow print wallpaper.

INTRODUCING: Lindsay

Introducing the first 2012 Linden Tree REVEAL Collection piece: Lindsay.

What a beautiful and simple transformation! This solid wood dresser got some much needed TLC with a fresh coat of eco-friendly orange paint, a lightly distressed finish and charming black and white porcelain knobs.  Each of the four drawers is lined with the dresser’s original vintage newspaper looking print. A wonderful addition to any bedroom.

This dresser is named after Lindsay. This is her story: After giving birth to a beautiful baby girl, she finally felt like life had a new meaning.  Coming from an abusive relationship, she has found a new hope in being a good mom.  She has chosen to look forward and begin a new life.

Sneak Peek: Kerry Ann

So we went thriting this month in search of some new pieces for our February Showing coming up. Let me tell you, God set us up! On our way to the Salvation Army thrift store we had to stop for a looooong passing train. Well, being the extra-patient people that we are, we decide to drive around it. Good thing we did because just as we arrived at the thrift store a pick up truck with a father & son team were about to donate this desk & a marble-top buffet (that we will give you a sneak peek of shortly) to the Salvation Army. Out of curiosity we asked them if they had just bought these pieces or if they were dropping them off as a donation. They replied that they just wanted to give them away and get them out of their truck already! We happily offered to take these pieces off their hands. Not just that, these kind men even drove the pieces to our store (just a few blocks north of the thrift store). So fun how this all went down.

Our Linden Tree logo furniture stamp is in! And, it’s oh-so pretty. It will go great with our earth-friendly water-based ink (in comparison with oil-based or alcohol-based inks that aren’t so environmentally kind).

Did you know that the actual “linden tree” produces oil that aids in the healing process? That to us is so special as it perfectly ties into the work that is done with the foster care girls at Taylor’s Closet.
